We are a non-auditioned choir that is part of a joyous, cooperative learning culture. We are joined by our love of choral music, our commitment to excellence, and our desire to share our music at both public concerts and in the community. We strive to be the best we can be!
Rehearsals
Regular weekly rehearsals are on Monday evenings 7:30 – 9:30 PM at Grace Church on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto.
Fall Term:
September - December

Welcome all – we are inclusive!
Are non-auditioned
Sing a wide range of SATB choral music (classical, world music, folk, show tunes)
Rehearse on Monday nights from 7:30-9:30 September to June
Rehearse at Grace Church on-the-Hill in midtown Toronto (St Clair and Spadina area) with lots of street parking and easy access to the TTC
Have three public concerts and about 15 community concerts a year for audiences who are unable to attend live performances
Provide lots of opportunity to improve musical skills through weekly rehearsals, an annual retreat, sectional workshops, private voice lessons (optional, for an additional fee)
Have reasonable fees and offer exemption/reduction in fees, if needed
We also include an auditioned Latin American chamber ensemble, Cantemos, that specializes in contemporary and ancient music from the Americas.
Membership
Membership fees are $225 per term.
This includes a full-day retreat in the Fall term.
Those in financial need can contact the Board for special consideration.
The black binders are purchased from the choir for $35.
Any donation above the regular membership fee is eligible for a tax receipt. We rely on the generous donations of our membership to help us achieve our goals.
